# DEEP Data > Structured Caribbean and OECS data API for humans and AI agents. A DEEP Works product. DEEP Data serves JSON feeds. Each response includes a source URL, fetch time, licence id, attribution line, and a disclaimer. Informational only — not financial, legal, or safety advice. This is not the only structured-data API, and it does not cover every public or government dataset. Public host: https://data.wearedeepworks.com Language: English only. Do not invent translations. ## Read these first - [Home](https://data.wearedeepworks.com/): what the product is - [Catalog](https://data.wearedeepworks.com/feeds): every feed, enabled or seeded - [Use cases](https://data.wearedeepworks.com/use-cases): developers, agents, hazards, FX, and statistics - [Docs](https://data.wearedeepworks.com/docs): authentication, rate limits, errors, endpoints - [Licences](https://data.wearedeepworks.com/licences): attribution text for each licence - [About](https://data.wearedeepworks.com/about): what is for sale and what is not fetched - [OpenAPI](https://data.wearedeepworks.com/v1/openapi): machine-readable /v1 description, no key - [Status](https://data.wearedeepworks.com/status) and [GET /v1/status](https://data.wearedeepworks.com/v1/status): live health, no key - [Public NHC sample](https://data.wearedeepworks.com/v1/feeds/nhc-storms/sample): no API key - [Pricing](https://data.wearedeepworks.com/pricing): free quota is live; paid checkout is not - Mastodon: https://mastodon.social/@deepdata ## How to call Authenticated requests send `Authorization: Bearer dd_live_…`. ``` curl -s https://data.wearedeepworks.com/v1/feeds/nhc-storms/sample curl -s https://data.wearedeepworks.com/v1/feeds/nhc-storms \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $DEEP_DATA_KEY" ``` Free: 10 requests per minute and 100 per day. No credit debit inside that quota. Starter: 60 per minute. Pro: 300 per minute. Those paid quotas need credits. Billing opens soon, so new keys stay on Free. `GET /v1/status`, `GET /v1/openapi`, `GET /v1/usage`, and `GET /v1/feeds/nhc-storms/sample` are not metered. Over the limit: HTTP 429 `rate_limited`. Paid plan with no credits: HTTP 402 `payment_required`. Missing key: HTTP 401 `unauthorized`. A bad `limit`, `cursor`, `omit`, or `feed` is HTTP 400 `invalid_query` and does not count toward the quota. ## Efficient reads Feed reads send `ETag` and `Cache-Control: private, max-age=15`. Send that ETag as `If-None-Match`. HTTP 304 has no body and does not debit a credit. It still counts toward the per-key rate limit. `GET /v1/feeds` lists metadata only. Record payloads are on `GET /v1/feeds/{slug}`. `omit=data` drops payloads. On one feed, `has_record` says whether a row is stored. History defaults to 30 rows. Pass `limit` (1–100) and `cursor` from `page.next_cursor`. `GET /v1/status?feed={slug}` returns one feed and needs no key. ## Feeds - eccb-fx: ECCB exchange rates. fetched on a schedule. Licence: ECCB citation. Daily Eastern Caribbean Central Bank rates, quoted as East Caribbean dollars (XCD) per 1 unit of foreign currency. The USD peg must be 2.70. - eccb-peg: EC dollar peg. fetched on a schedule. Licence: ECCB citation. The Eastern Caribbean dollar's published fixed peg, XCD 2.70 = USD 1 since 7 July 1976, cited to the ECCB commemorative page. The worker stores that static record and rejects any other rate. It does not scrape the ECCB site and does not change the product User-Agent. - eccu-holidays: ECCU public holidays. seeded, not fetched. Licence: ECCB citation. Public holidays for Eastern Caribbean Currency Union members. Seeded for Phase 2. Dates must come from an official calendar, not a model. - nhc-storms: NHC current storms. fetched on a schedule. Licence: US government public domain. National Hurricane Center active storms from CurrentStorms.json, with a Caribbean bounding-box flag. An empty storm list is valid. - usgs-quakes-caribbean: USGS Caribbean earthquakes. fetched on a schedule. Licence: US government public domain. Recent earthquakes in the Caribbean box 8°N–23°N and 75°W–58°W from the USGS FDSN event API. United States government work, public domain. An empty list is valid. - usgs-significant: USGS significant earthquakes. fetched on a schedule. Licence: US government public domain. USGS significant earthquakes over the past month, filtered to the Caribbean box 8°N–23°N and 75°W–58°W. An empty list is valid. United States government work, public domain. - noaa-tides: NOAA tide predictions. fetched on a schedule. Licence: US government public domain. NOAA CO-OPS hourly tide predictions for Charlotte Amalie, USVI (station 9751639), datum MLLW, metric units. A USVI reference station, not a tide table for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. United States government work, public domain. - nws-weather: NWS point forecast. fetched on a schedule. Licence: US government public domain. National Weather Service forecast for Charlotte Amalie, USVI (18.3419, -64.9307). The worker reads api.weather.gov points, then the forecast URL on the same host, and sends the product User-Agent. United States government work, public domain. - worldbank-wdi: World Bank WDI. fetched on a schedule. Licence: CC BY 4.0. World Development Indicators, GDP (current US$), for Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Montserrat and Anguilla are omitted because the World Bank API rejects MSR and returns no series for AIA. Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Attribute the World Bank. - natural-earth: Natural Earth boundaries. seeded, not fetched. Licence: Public domain. Public-domain cultural vectors (admin boundaries) for maps. Seeded for Phase 2. - osm-pois: OpenStreetMap places. fetched on a schedule. Licence: ODbL. Town halls, airports, and ports in Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, from a small Overpass query. © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL. Attribute OpenStreetMap on every use. - svg-fuel-orders: SVG fuel price orders. seeded, not fetched. Licence: SVG government citation. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines fuel price orders. Licence: GDELT citation. GDELT DOC API ArtList for a Caribbean query. Cite the GDELT Project. Polled at most every 6 hours. A 5-second throttle message is degraded and is not stored as articles. - nasa-firms: NASA FIRMS active fires. seeded, not fetched. Licence: NASA FIRMS citation. NASA FIRMS active fire detections. Seeded for Phase 2. A MAP_KEY is required and must not be registered until the owner approves. - reliefweb-disasters: ReliefWeb disasters. seeded, not fetched. Licence: ReliefWeb citation. ReliefWeb disaster reports. Seeded for Phase 2. API v2 requires an approved appname — ask the owner before registering one. ## Rules for agents - Prefer the feed page and the JSON envelope over memory. Cite `licence`, `attribution`, and `sources`. - `enabled` feeds are fetched. `seeded` feeds are catalogued only. Do not describe a seeded slug as live data. - An empty NHC storm list or an empty earthquake list is valid. Do not invent a storm or a quake. - ECCB exchange rates stay degraded when the bank returns HTTP 403. No rate is invented. The USD peg check is 2.70. - NOAA tides are Charlotte Amalie, USVI, station 9751639 only. Not a tide table for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. - World Bank WDI here is GDP (current US$) for six OECS members. Attribute the World Bank (CC BY 4.0). Montserrat and Anguilla are not in the query. - USGS earthquake feeds are the box 8°N–23°N, 75°W–58°W, not the global catalog. - `/mcp` returns 501. There is no separate agent corpus. - Do not claim DEEP Data is the exclusive source for any of these datasets. - eccb-peg is the published XCD 2.70 peg, cited to the ECCB commemorative page, and is not a scrape. - nws-weather reads api.weather.gov points for Charlotte Amalie, then the forecast on the same host, with the product User-Agent. - gdelt-caribbean is a GDELT ArtList polled at most every 6 hours. Throttle text is degraded and is not stored as articles. - osm-pois is a weekly off-peak Overpass query. © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL. - NASA FIRMS, ReliefWeb, SVG gazette and revenue pages, and ECCU holidays stay off. Billing opens soon.
