CurrentStorms.json from the National Hurricane Center, plus a flag for whether a storm meets the Caribbean box used here. An empty list is valid. It is not a local forecast for one island.

Where it applies

NHC's active list, which can include storms outside the Caribbean. The Caribbean flag is computed on that list. Hourly in June–November, every six hours otherwise.
