OECS and ECCU feeds

Caribbean facts, agent-ready.

Structured data for the Eastern Caribbean. Every response carries a source URL, a fetch time, a licence, and an attribution. The same payload is what a person reads and what an agent calls.

How a call works

  1. Sign in

Email a magic link. There is no password.

  2. Create a key

The secret is shown once in the dashboard and stored as a SHA-256 digest.

  3. Call the feed

Send the bearer token to /v1/feeds/{slug}. The NHC sample needs no key.

Provenance is the product

A feed is useful here only when you can cite it. The envelope is the contract.

On every response

  • sourcesURL, fetch time, and snapshot id
  • fetched_atWhen this product stored the snapshot
  • as_ofThe time the source assigns to the data
  • licenceLicence id, plus an attribution line
  • disclaimerInformational only — not financial, legal, or safety advice. Verify with the cited source.

What we do not invent

Enabled feeds run on a schedule. The EC dollar peg is a static cited record, not a scrape. Other seeded slugs are catalogued and not fetched.

ECCB exchange rates are enabled. If the bank returns HTTP 403, that feed stays degraded and no rate is stored. A USD rate other than the published 2.70 peg is rejected.

An empty NHC storm list is a valid calm basin. Open the public sample.

Feeds in the catalog

DEEP Data is a structured data API for developers and for agents: JSON with a source and a licence. Coverage is Caribbean and OECS first. These series are specific. The catalog is not every public dataset.

Questions about the API

What is the DEEP Data API?

DEEP Data is a structured data API for Caribbean and OECS feeds. Developers and AI agents call the same JSON. Every response includes a source URL, a fetch time, a licence, and an attribution.

Which hazard feeds cover the Caribbean?

NHC storms include a Caribbean-interest flag. USGS earthquakes are limited to 8°N–23°N and 75°W–58°W. NOAA tide predictions and the NWS forecast are for Charlotte Amalie only. An empty storm or earthquake list is a valid result.

How should an AI agent call this API?

Start with llms.txt, then the OpenAPI document, then one feed. Send Authorization: Bearer with a dashboard key. Revalidate with If-None-Match. Use omit=data when you need the envelope without the payload, and cursor pages for history.

What happens when ECCB exchange rates cannot be fetched?

If the bank returns HTTP 403, the exchange-rate feed stays degraded and no rate is stored. The EC dollar peg is a separate cited record of the published XCD 2.70 rate. It is not a scrape, and any other USD rate is rejected.

What does the free quota include?

A free key allows 10 requests a minute and 100 a day. Calls inside that quota do not debit credits. The public NHC sample, status, and OpenAPI document are not metered. Paid checkout is not open yet.
